The Salvation Army Community Center, located at 1700 S. Burdick St, is just south of Stockbridge in the heart of the Vine and Edison Neighborhoods. The center has been in the area since it’s construction in 1991. One of the primary visions of the center is about empowering kids and strengthening families through sport, art, education and relationships. We seek to offer programs and services to address the physical and emotional needs of youth. In doing so we also determine to share the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
The community center is also open for other activities including but not limited to food distributions, blood drives, holiday programs such as the Share the Warmth Coat Drive, Thanksgiving Basket Distribution and the annual Toy Shop.
If you are interested in using the community center for an upcoming event you may contact Adam Tollerud, Community Center Director at (269) 344-6119 ext.229, to discuss event and availability.
