For Seniors
For our friends ages 55 and older, Friendship Club meets Tuesdays at noon for a hot meal and fellowship with friends. Meetings include special interest programs on a wide variety of subjects as well as an annual trip to the Holland Tulip Festival.
The Friendship Club was started in 1975 by Major and Mrs. Davis. Bill Hunt, Sr. served as the emcee and led the singing for the group. Edyth Parker served as hostess. Then, the average weekly attendance was 100.
Today, the Friendship Club is led by Bill Hunt, son of Bill Hunt Sr, and is hosted by Terri George. While weekly attendance is not as robust as in previous years, the Friendship Club still enjoys good fellowship and programs.
The Friendship Club begins its 2011-2012 season on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Those interesting in attending should RSVP 24 hours in advance at 269-344-6119
