Character Building Programs For Youth
Children and teens grades 1-12 are invited to participate in character building programs after school. The programs focus on helping kids develop life-skills, while creating a fun, safe environment for kids to enjoy. The programs include Sunbeams, Girl Guards, Adventure Corps Explorers, and Rangers.
Corps Cadets is a youth Bible study/Leadership Development program aimed at teens in grades 7-12. The program investigates the Bible in creative and intriguing ways, helping adolescents to better understand the Bible and its message.
For our friends ages 50 and older, Friendship Club meets Tuesdays at noon for a hot meal and fellowship with friends. Meetings include special interest programs on a wide variety of subjects as well as an annual trip to the Holland Tulip Festival.
The Friendship Club was started in 1975 by Major and Mrs. Davis. Bill Hunt, Sr. served as the emcee and led the singing for the group. Edyth Parker served as hostess. Then, the average weekly attendance was 100.
Today, the Friendship Club is led by Bill Hunt, son of Bill Hunt Sr, and is hosted by Terri George. While weekly attendance is not as robust as in previous years, the Friendship Club still enjoys good fellowship and programs.
Those interesting in attending should RSVP 24 hours in advance at 269-344-6119
