Food Pantry
MEETING THE BASICS
The Salvation Army Emergency Food Pantry is a practical way to address the basic needs of families and individuals turning to us for help. We currently provide emergency food, personal items, clothing and clothing vouchers to our Thrift Store located on Portage Road.
Households in need of food can receive assistance from Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes one time each month, which may not be sufficient for some households. At The Salvation Army Emergency Pantry households may acquire food up to four times per year, or every three months. The amount of food each household receives is based on the number of individuals in the family/household. We accept all types of non-perishable food items and personal items. Please be sure to check the expiration dates on all food prior to delivery. Below you can find a complete list of personal and food items that are needed in the pantry everyday.
