MAJORS JOHN & NANCY MOWERS

Pastors

Majors John & Nancy Mowers both have over 35 years of service as Officers in The Salvation Army. Major John Mowers has a BA in Sociology and a Masters of Arts in Religion, and Major Nancy Mowers has a Masters degree in Intercultural Studies and TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages).

The Mowers most recently came from appointments at The Salvation Army College for Officer Training in Chicago, Illinois. They have also served as Training Principal and Asst. Training Principal at the College for Officer Training for the South America East Territory in Buenos Aires, Argentina and as Divisional Commander and staff of the CFOT for Latin America North in San Jose, Costa Rica. Other appointments have been corps officers/pastors in Wichita and Topeka, Kansas, Divisional Youth officers in Indiana, and corps officers/ pastors in Rochester, Minnesota and Flint, Michigan.

The Mowers have four grown children and seven grandchildren.
